Over the course of one night in a mysterious hotel, a gay man wanders from room to room, encountering former lovers, friends and strangers from his past, until the labyrinth of memories forces him to confront the one person he has been trying to escape – himself.
Over the course of one night, a gay man wanders through the corridors of a mysterious, timeless hotel. Behind each door he encounters someone who once played a role in his life – former lovers, friends and strangers whose presence awakens fragments of intimacy, desire, disappointment and loss.
The hotel gradually becomes a labyrinth of memory. Past and present merge as the protagonist moves from one encounter to another, repeatedly drawn back into relationships he thought he had left behind. Familiar faces return in unexpected configurations, while emotions and desires take on an almost physical presence.
With every room, the journey becomes more personal. What initially appears to be a search through memories reveals itself as an attempt to escape from something unresolved within himself. The people he meets are not simply figures from the past, but fragments of an identity shaped by love, sexuality, rejection and longing.
As reality dissolves into dream, the protagonist is forced to confront the fact that no encounter can offer the closure he is looking for. To leave the labyrinth, he must finally turn towards himself.
Portrait is a sensual, oneiric journey through memory and desire, exploring the traces that relationships leave behind and the difficult process of accepting one’s own identity.

W ciągu jednej nocy mężczyzna przemierza pokoje tajemniczego hotelu, spotykając dawnych kochanków, przyjaciół i nieznajomych ze swojej przeszłości. Labirynt wspomnień zmusza go w końcu do konfrontacji z jedyną osobą, przed którą naprawdę próbuje uciec – z samym sobą.
W ciągu jednej nocy mężczyzna przemierza korytarze tajemniczego hotelu, zawieszonego poza czasem. Za kolejnymi drzwiami spotyka osoby, które kiedyś odegrały rolę w jego życiu – dawnych kochanków, przyjaciół i nieznajomych, których obecność przywołuje fragmenty bliskości, pożądania, rozczarowania i straty.
Hotel stopniowo zamienia się w labirynt pamięci. Przeszłość miesza się z teraźniejszością, a bohater przechodzi od jednego spotkania do kolejnego, ponownie wciągany w relacje, które – jak sądził – dawno pozostawił za sobą. Znajome twarze powracają w nowych konfiguracjach, a emocje i pragnienia nabierają niemal fizycznej obecności.
Z każdym kolejnym pokojem jego podróż staje się coraz bardziej osobista. To, co początkowo wygląda jak wędrówka przez wspomnienia, okazuje się próbą ucieczki przed czymś nierozwiązanym w nim samym. Spotykane osoby nie są jedynie postaciami z przeszłości, lecz fragmentami tożsamości ukształtowanej przez miłość, seksualność, odrzucenie i tęsknotę.
Kiedy rzeczywistość coraz bardziej przenika się ze snem, bohater musi zmierzyć się z faktem, że żadne spotkanie nie przyniesie mu odpowiedzi ani zamknięcia, którego szuka. Aby wydostać się z labiryntu, musi w końcu zwrócić się ku samemu sobie.
To zmysłowa, oniryczna podróż przez pamięć i pożądanie – opowieść o śladach, jakie pozostawiają w nas relacje, oraz o trudnym procesie akceptacji własnej tożsamości.
